What are Xylooligosaccharides?

Xylooligosaccharides (XOS), are prebiotics thatconsists of sugar oligomers composed of xylose units, found naturally in bamboo shoots and corn cobs.This are non-digestible food ingredients that preferentially stimulate the growth of prebiotic Bifidobacterium and other lactic acid bacteria in the gastro-intestinal tract.
